Authors Note: The fact
that a lot of people made their prediction pieces about Cody getting haunted, I
wanted to do something different. In reality, nothing would happen to you. You might
always have to think about what you did, but that’s it, no Ghosts J.
The hook lay on the cold floor beside Cody, ready to be
transformed. Cody picks up the hook and places it carefully, ready to be melted
on his makeshift stove. Taking his time and paying attention, the hook starts
melting. Once the deed is done, the melted gold is put into the mold of a bar.
Happy with the gold, he gets ready for the next day--to get out of town.
Gathering his personal items, and taking all the wood from his
house and ready to go, he heads off on his rusted car. Riding to a brand new, big city, Cody is feeling
good, and waiting to become rich. Heading to a new great life he thought of
what he could get with his gold bar, he wonders if he could have a family, a
wife? Children? He wondered.
After renting an apartment, Cody wants a job, only because he believes if he doesn't, he'll wind up broke either way. With him thinking about the hook, he was feeling guilty about it. But he thought if he was that man with the
hook, if they switched places, would he have done the same thing? For now on
Cody keeps the thought out of his mind, and has a family, and a house.
